Character & description
An oak-aged Alvarinho pomace spirit. Dona Paterna’s Velhíssima blends spirits with an average age of 15 years.
Maturation in oak casks of different origins accounts for its topaz colour and richer, more complex aromatic character. Its origin remains Monção e Melgaço.
Our suggestion: Serve in a small tulip-shaped glass and allow time in the glass. Compare it with the producer’s Bagaceira to explore the effect of ageing.
